Ok, I have your attention and the 'KISS' I mentioned is an acronym for Keep it simple, stupid!
The basic difference between a resume and a Curriculum vitae as the world recognizes is the 'length'. Resumes do not go (and are not preferred) beyond two pages while CV is a longer version and can go for many pages (obviously, depending on your profile).
